Huh when that poem posted it did something weird with the spacing...lets try
that again and see if it looks right this time.

The Minstrel's Monument...A Poem by Ian Dun Gillan

No somber verge over them should rise
And no gravestone to mark their demise

But let their notes play out on the lute
We pray never let their songs go mute

Their music is light and brightly hued
And always played for lifting the mood

Sung in good company to be sure
New musicians fondly learn their score

Like all those heroes in tales of old
Let their stories go on to be told

Scribed down and saved through all the ages
To be found upon worried pages

In aged tomes where all old songs go
No more fitting end can minstrels know.

Kindly
Ian
