One problem with this idea is that on the first Tuesday of every month the  
dining hall is closed to us; the gym (and the stage at the end of it) is  
the only space available. For anything. This was the situation last  night. I 
don't see a solution other than saying on that night (at least)  nobody is 
to come who is not a fighter.

marshaled  treating the entire are as a list field...that way unwanted
