So jumping on the bandwagon...
 
One of my fondest memories of the SCA, I cant tell you the site or the good gentles name, but it was held at an event with a revine battle in kingdom.
I had snuck away from camp to watch the battle, and as I sat there crouching behind a bush to not be seen a Lady came up with her spinning. She talked with me as though we were old friends and showed the first steps in making thread during that battle. While I still am all thumbs at spinning, she taught me more about persona and what it meant to LIVE the dream that day then has happened at any other single hour. 
To a wonderful welcoming Lady whos name I will probably never Thank you.
