There was a question posted earlier that sort of rattled around in my head for a
while and made me wonder what being a member of the Barony of Northkeep meant to
people. If you care to share this little question might help us all appreciate
and understand each other just a little better.

For me Northkeep is a place where I can be me, it is people who accept me for
who I am and they treat me like I am their equal with out judgement. Here in
Northkeep I can be a dreamer, a warrior, a statesman, an artist, a poet, and the
biggest geek ever and still sometimes be appreciated and celebrated for any and
all of that. Northkeep is a place where people help and support one another.
This Barony is a place where we revel in our diversity. Although often closed
mouthed or opinionated Northkeep is a place where they people are still kind and
respectful. Northkeep is a place that is almost always welcoming if you will
just put forth the effort to say hello.

But most importantly for me Northkeep is honorable, chivalrous, and a place
where those who seek glory may find it. For me Northkeep will always be the
heart and soul of where my dream of the SCA first appeared and the flame that
has kindled that dream for over two decades now.

What does Northkeep mean to you?

Most Kindly
Ian
