If a particular email address is not a registered list member, it can not post to this list without approval.  Such messages wind up in the moderation queue with the spam and will stay there  until it is finally either approved or else accidentally deleted with the rest of the spam, whenever Mercedes or I get around to it.  This can be as little as once a week.

If you have timely email messages to the list, it behooves you to register.
