[Northkeep] newbies tonight

The comedy that is the tale of Hiam Northkeep is one of my favorites to
share with people who are new to our society. Of course there are other
such woeful tales like the saga of Snotra, The point is that choosing a
name, any name, is one way to help indoctrinate new players quickly.
Choosing a name pulls them in gets them invested in what we do and will
maybe inspire them along the first steps as to why and how we do things. By
taking a new name new people will hopefully do some research and usually
talk to people about their choices. Thus researching, educating, and
sharing that knowledge while attempting to reenact some history. Angus has
made a very good point in this and I for one appreciate the wisdom of his
idea so that it might help us all to be more conscious of those new to
Northkeep.  Maybe this conversation thread will also serve as a reminder of
how important it is to help anyone who is new to feel at home here among us.
