Yes, most things are better with brandy...and Keigan...my SCA name is Lavina, but I answer to Gwen as well.  Also, Duncan has assured me that this group always comes through and to continue with what we ahve going.  I have enlisted my sister to make her grandmother's secret recipe cookies.  I'm not blood related so I can't make them, but she has offered.  I am excited, and I'm sure it will be great :)

I'm fairly sure everything is better with brandy. Or rum. Or Irish whiskey. And some things are even better with Scotch or Bourbon.

I have never donated to a bake sale before, so now is a good time to start. I 
ill make walnut brownies and have them individually bagged.
I could try adding some brandy to see what that does to them? Anybody interested 
r already know the outcome?

ey folks, the event is only a few days away and our wonderful Gwen (I hate 
o admit this but I have forgotten your new SCA name!  I know it starts  
ith an L!)  has graciously volunteered to take this great and amazing task  
n.  I know we are famous for coming thru at the last minute and none of us  
ike being tied down to signing up, but Gwen is really new among us and I'm 
ure  she is a bit worried that not many of us have agreed solidly to bring 
oodies.  If you are bringing something, please take a minute to let Gwen  
now you have her back and tell her what you are bringing.  I know I would  
ppreciate your help with this and I imaging she will be most grateful to 
now  she doesn't have to stay up for days trying to make enough stuff for 
his  fundraiser all by herself.  
I will be bringing cookie truffles packaged in small bunches, perfect for  
essert to go with our soup kitchen.  Looking forward to see what kinds of  
onderful sweets will be showing up for this!
