Hello!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

You are invited to participate in the 28th annual Philbrook Festival of Trees, November 17-December 9, 2012.

Festival of Trees is Philbrook’s annual fundraiser to help the museum sustain its programs and operations, including free public programs such as Second Saturday, Third Thursday, My Museum and Garden Glow. This event draws over 13,000 people of all ages to the museum for a three week period to celebrate the beginning of the holidays with families and friends at one of Tulsa’s most beautiful treasures.

This year participants will be divided into the professional categories of Artists, Designers and Florists, and Community Groups. We also invite Individuals and Students to participate. Cash prizes will be awarded by our generous donors. Participants in the professional categories category may also receive a percentage of their item or items’ sale, choose to donate the proceeds to the museum, or apply a percentage to membership.

All categories are invited to donate trees, but those in the Artists, Designers and Florist category may choose to submit miniature trees (under 24”), wreathes, holiday objects, or gift paintings/photographs (no larger than 12”x12” unframed). Because of limited wall space, we require that those who wish to submit paintings/photographs also submit a tree or object. Paintings do not have to be holiday themed.

Further details will be outlined at an orientation at the end of the summer for those in the professional categories who are interested. Please reply to this email if you are interested in participating in this year’s Festival of Trees.

Festival of Trees Pin & Ornament
Artists are invited to submit to be the annual pin and/or ornament artist. For the past few years, we have sold over 1,000 of the pins and almost 1,000 ornaments. If you are interested, please contact me as soon as possible for details on submission of designs.

Thank you again for your continued support of our beloved Tulsa tradition. We hope that you will join us in 2012 to celebrate the holidays at Philbrook with your creations!

Please feel free to share this email with your friends in the artistic community!
