[Northkeep] Tahlequah Meetings

Greetings all,
Last time we met in Tahlequah there was talk about a student organization on 
campus. Not wanting to proceed with out full disclosure to the Barony this email 
will contain the information I found out regarding that process and other steps 
toward recruitment of potential new players and the forming of such an entity. 
If I overstep my bounds anywhere please feel free to chastise me and reel me 
back in, my enthusiasm toward this idea and its execution may cause me to do so 
unintentionally. If you are someone more officious than myself and wish to take 
over this project please get with me and I will gladly share all my information 
with you. 


Following up on the student organization idea I took it upon myself to called 
NSU and spoke with the secretary of Student Affairs. The secretary was very 
helpful and said all we had to do to get started was visit their office in the 
basement of the U.C. on campus to pick up a new student organization packet. 
Once we have the packet it will include a guide for the steps needed to proceed. 
So if someone in Tahlequah is on campus and would like to go by and pick one of 
those packets we can get that ball rolling.

Also we mentioned in the last meeting were the distribution of fliers at the 
comic book store near the university. I am pretty sure that Lady Cicily said 
that she has some copied from the SCA web site with her information on them. So 
all we need to do is get with Staci who said the owner was a friend of hers, or 
one of the guys who games there and get those fliers into the shop.

The park that the fighter practice occurs in is small but really nice and well 
traveled. Having fighters out there fighting and others crafting or simply 
providing ornamental exposure would really help further this cause.  The meeting 
room at the library offers plenty of oppertunity to be seen by the public. All 
in all Lady Cicily and the good folk of Tahlequah have come up with a very good 
plan all they need is your presence to make it work.

This weekend Kelandra and I will be at the fair in Muskogee with a friend while 
the meetings are going on but we would love to hear any news afterwards. We also 
look forward to attending the next meeting on the 9th of June.
