so far sears is the cheapest " new " tank I've found @ $324.00 + tax

i'm a do it yourselfer , for 2 reasons, one, i have over 5 years in building 
maint. and two, i'm too broke to afford to pay anyone else : (

he probably didn't use yellow pipe seal , tape or paste ( it's required for 
gas applications in most places )
