You most certainly are not a failure in the mundane world.  Every tree you've submitted in the past has sold within the first two days.  The public snaps up your work.  That is proof that people value your art.
 
Speaking of value, you've been a guaranteed money-maker for the Philbrook.  I'm confused as to why they have done this.
