Dearest Gisela, I MUST tell you that you have fallen prey to a serious SCA malady.  Many a 
one has been lead to despair by the 'I-don't-Have-Anything-to-Wear-It-With' syndrome.  Even 
I have such an item (fashioned in fact, by the self-same Ld Skerri!) I'm sure there are 
many who have the 'apron dress' pattern you need or you can avail yourself of the ones on 
the 'net.
