The Turkoman oye is a wonderful structure, and I am adapting my current
yurt from Mongolian ger profile to an oye style.

The best solid information on this type of yurt is in the books by Peter
Alford Andrews, as he has done over 20 years field research regarding
nomadic tent types.  His book set, Nomad Tent Types of the Middle East,
includes many photos and technical descriptions of oyes, including the
difference between men's, women's, and ceremonial (i.e. wedding) tents.

My books are currently out on loan, but  If you have specific questions,
I may be able to answer them for you.  I should have my books back
toward the end of next week.
