Hurray for minute takers!!!
thank you Ladies for all the hard work you are about to embrace.
I am sorry if I sounded harsh on my last post but the theme of "we are kept
in the dark" is one I have heard too many times. I still say that no one is
kept intentionally in the dark. And I know that as an officer I have never
"snubbed" the South, nor do I think that any officer of this Barony has
intentionally done so.
As an officer I try to always provide our Chronicler with a report on the
next month's activities and I regularly post on the RF net when we have
something A&S related going on. I make most meetings and I am always
available(well, almost, not on Tuesdays!!)if anyone has questions. I don't
call that "keeping people in the dark".
Yes, some cannot make it on time to the meetings. But changing the order of
things is not going to help much. If we start with the officers' reports we
do not have enough time for the events and other Baronial activities. If we
start with the events etc, we run out of time for the officers. It's a
catch 22 situation. If someone is late they are going to miss something.
We could try to have a longer meeting to accomodate all that needs to be
discussed but I don't think that anybody is ready to sit in a meeting room
for three hours. I certainly am not!! Or we could try to have the meeting
start at 8pm. But that makes it late for a lot of people. Not to forget
the fact that it would leave no time for dinner afterwards....
Or maybe we could all try not to be so long winded.... Which I am guilty of
with this post.
So, on that note, I'll once again step off the soap box.
See you all at populace!
Gwynn the Lizardkeeper
