OK, now for my pound & a half worth... I've been lurking for awhile to read
what the populace thinks and feels to be done... until now...

Yes, I agree, because though in recent years it hasn't been consistantly
used, but yet, surrounding mundanes still associate it with us on
Sunday's... -alternating places or times will mess everyone up over a period
of time... (so, you have 2-5 hours scheduled on Sunday's)
It will hinder the target archery...(more time to be added for having it
another day) but not too much of the combat archery (safety first of course)

Again, I agree, supplementing the fighting with private practices are better
than replacing it with the official one. It is a great source for focused
practice to learn techinques to use at official practices and tournaments.
(now add 2-4 "personally" scheduled hours for one private practice a week in
addition to the official one...)

It has always been terrific to see the many faceted sides of our
re-creational society in action as to when others attend in garb & utilizing
the time to work on "other projects..." I miss that! It is a great time to
bring out portable projects to work on and share with others.

Yes, we would benefit greatly from mini-tourney's held around our existing
baronial boundaries and at other group's practices as well...
Quarterly would be really great! No more than that or using one of the
existing Sunday's at the Gazebo to do that... with consistant participation,
it would work... Time?
(The reason for the adding in the amount of time was to give a visual
estimate of how much time each/a week it would take to do this.)

Consider this, the respective marshals (& their deputies- fighting
activities USUALLY, not always, will end up with one or more deputies than
any other officer position...) setting a set time schedule i.e.:

Summer schedule: 3pm - 6pm (cooler in spring & fall, maybe 4pm-8pm?)
Winter schedule: 1pm - 5pm (warmest part of a short day)
If no marshal is able to attend, let the populace know ASAP & make other
arrangements.

Consistancy, time & communication would be the main thread to tie all of
these great ideas that everyone has been submitting to HL Kezia.
People come & go at different times of the day & will continue to do so at
these practices. It is a focal meeting point during the week/weekend to hook
up without going to meetings. The time would be for the marshals to let the
populace know exactly when they will be there. If no one shows, they pack &
go... If people do show, they unpack & stay... OR if no one shows, the
marshals bring other projects along so that it is not felt like a "wasted
trip". It would be one day of the week to play "catch up with the SCA" for
some, practice, and working on portable projects for others and then some...
By having people at the gazebo, at every point of the time frame (earlier or
later, their choice...)it lets people know that something WILL happen that
day.

Many thanks to HL Kezia for taking the time to work up the survey and
tallying... Excellent job!

and the winner is??????????????...
