By the Way, When I said I know how, what I neglected to say is that I have patterns, that will make several styles of carpet armor. If you put a little work into it, you can sew it into the pleats of a kilt (upper leg armor), Make a white coat with some trigger, make a peascod with a lot of duct tape and some other styles of armor. I don't remember where I bought the pattern pack, but it seems like I paid $35 back in 1980. I probably got it at an event I went to in Artesia New Mexico. We also had a few merchants come to the event that Black Lake held at the Globe of the Great South West. I may have got it there. It will certainly make a set of old school armor.

Subject: [Ravensfort] Old School armor question

Got a question that I'm sure will spark fond memories in many fighters of their first armor- Does anyone know whether carpet armor is A) allowed anymore, and B) how to make it into decent body armor that doesn't look like someone is actually wearing half-inch pile carpet on their body? Got enough carpet left over from a re-carpeting job that was done on our place to make one set for a big person, or two sets for really teeny people, and was thinking of making loaner armor for new fighters in conjunction with cops and such.
Thoughts?
