[Ravensfort] 30 Day Notice of Closure of Private Tavern and Property Removal

Greetings are sent to:

Mr. Douglas Brian LeJeune, Mr. David Epps, Mrs. David Epps, and
all others to whom these presents come:

This is your Thirty Day Notice of the Closure of the Private
Tavern run by LeJeune and the Epps on the Dorrell Ranch. You are
hereby notified to contact the Land Liaison to the Society for
Creative Anachronism, Inc. for the Dorrell Ranch, Mr. Lee
Cockerham, to arrange for the removal of all personal property
pertaining to the aforementioned Private Tavern.

After the aforementioned Thirty Day period has lapsed all
personal property associated with the aforementioned Private
Tavern remaining on the Dorrell Ranch becomes the property of the
Barony of Raven's Fort, SCA Inc.

That parcel of the Dorrell Ranch that said Private Tavern
currently exists on immediately reverts to the use of the Barony
of Raven's Fort for the purposes of SCA Inc. Official Functions.
Under the direction of the Land Liaison to the SCA Inc., Lee
Cockerham, the aforementioned parcel of the Dorrell Ranch will be
modified to suit the purposes of the Barony of Raven's Fort.

This action was precipitated by a blatent and egregious violation
of the Fire Safety Guidelines of the Dorrell Ranch set by the
Land Liaison to the SCA Inc., Lee Cockerham.

To wit: 

1. Failure to properly clear a fire break around a fire ring site
located within the environs of said Private Tavern.
2. Failure to insure that all flammable material was contained
within the perimeter of that same fire ring site.
3. Failure to remove excess flammable material a safe distance
from said fire ring site.
4. Failure to insure that a fire that was set alight within said
fire ring site was properly extinguished.

Said fire was set alight during a Official Work Weekend of the
Barony of Ravens Fort during September 2004, abandoned, and
subsequently discovered still alight and with a deep bed of
smoldering coals two day hence during a period of high winds.

Said fire and conditions were witnessed by a Warranted Officer of
the Barony of Raven's Fort. Lorraine Deerslayer (Lorraine
Yackey), the Land Liaison to the SCA Inc. (Lee Cockerham), and
the then Baroness of Raven's Fort, Kezia (Barbara Gilbert).

Said witness filed dated e-letters with the Officers of the
Barony of Ravens Fort and the Land Liaison. Said incident was
reported to the Regional Seneschal and thence to the Kingdom
Seneschal through the normal channels of communication.

Upon advice from a SCA Legal Representative, the Land Liaison,
Lee Cockerham has taken the measures noted above to forestall any
further dangerous violations of the Fire Safety Guidelines and
local and State Law imperiling the real property of the Barony of
Raven's Fort, SCA Inc. and the real property of the Dorrell Ranch
and other surrounding real property land holders.

This decision is final.

So done on this 12th day of April 2005. This public notification
is binding whether received directly, indirectly, or not at all,
by Mr. Dogulas Brian LeJeune and Mr. and Mrs. David Epps.
