I have sufficiently explained my reasons for bringing it to the list.  I did so respectfully and with the utmost sensititivity to my words.  There is no provocation and no blame.  What I've ask for is simple neighborly consideration, yet firm peer consensus that we will not accept certain types of behavior.  There is no nicer, yet decisive way to approach a problem that affects us all.

....peed in yer wheaties!  ha!    I'll get you a fresh bowl (.....and rim it this time)!  Love ya!  :)

  You may well have good intentions...but it is still better to directly address the person you see stepping over the bounds...rather than bring it to a public list...

  Many people don't have as much of an understanding of how they affect others...
  and most likely the person you have been talking about isn't even subscribed to this E-mail list...two of the people you named aren't...so...

  Please...be truly chivalrous and truly diplomatic...and take your concerns to the person you have issues with first....before peeing in everyone else's wheaties...
