Sorry for the delay in replying. Things got a bit hashed this weekend, and I
am just catching up.

It looks like the consensus is 4th Thursday, and that is fine by me.

I guess the question remains, do we want to do it this Thursday, or wait
until next month. I need to clean up the studio if we want to work up
there. I still have a lot of packing boxes that need going through.

I have spare needles and some yarn (both cotton and poly). I don't have
a handout finished, but I will give that some attention tomorrow. I do have
two easy projects you can do, although I can't say they are period, but
you have to start somewhere. I don't know that I have ever seen a period
knitting sampler documented (anybody seen one?).

Projected Lesson Plan:

1. A short intro - explanation of terms, some history.
2. Making a center-pull ball.
3. Knit and Purl
4. Increases and decreases
5. Reading a pattern
6. Garter and dishcloth paterns for practice.

I think right now the emphasis will be on the mechanics of knitting, and I
will try and fit some of it into a historical perspective. If you have any
suggestions, I am listening. ;)

Regards,
-Jacinth-
