> quills  - some inexpensive ones will be provided
> knives  - quill cutting knife if you have, else paring knife 
>           or exacto-knife (must be sharp) 
> ink     - to try out your quill after cutting
> paper   - To use with calligraphy, lined or unlined, your choice. 
> Tweezers - to remove the inside of the quill 
> Cutting pad or butcher board - as used in crafts or for kitchen use.
