Today we're all over the board in the time line, but such is the way when looking at, instead of living in, history. It's about the elements. Specifically, how the elements were named. Names come from the Ancients, the Nordic, the Medieval and so on. Each culture adding their particular twist as the scope of knowledge progressed. Kupfernickel. Funny. I bet there's a bit of the devil's copper in your pocket right now. :)
