Greetings unto the Barony of Raven's Fort and anyone who reads this list.

First off I would like to say that I appreciate everyone who has volunteered to help with this event. Even in the smallest way, your time and energy is well thought and needed. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
It has been brought to my attention that there is some confusion over what we ( Mirabelis & myself ) meant when we named our event Festival of the Phoenix. I never thought I would have to explain this. Why? Because to me, it is obvious what we meant. The Barony of Raven's Fort went through some tough times. We almost were dissolved...gone...nothing. But with the leadership of both Keif and Lorraine, as Vicar & Vicaress, we made it through. We have a new Baron & Baroness...and that is something to celebrate!
All those who were chosen as Baron & Baroness of this group...from Keif & Alex to David St. David & Chrystal to Niklas & Kezia did an amazing job of keeping things together and propelling this Barony forward, not for themselves, but for the love of the Barony. Festival of the Phoenix is about that. I love this Barony. I want this Barony to thrive & prosper. We have a lot to celebrate here in this Barony...and we have a lot of work to do also.
So if you were offended by the name, do not be. The name was meant as a celebration, as a rebirth...a renewal. I apologize if anyone felt like it was directed at them. It was not. I only wish to see this Barony grow and shine. And like the Phoenix that is reborn into another life we are reborn also...as a strong, proud Barony that is looking to the future and not the past. We learn from the past so we do not repeat it.

I hope this helps to clear up any misunderstandings about the intent of the name Festival of the Phoenix. In service I remain...
