[Ravensfort] Populace and Children

Greetings unto the Barony!

I first want to thank Michelle for taking responsibilty of her children's actions. I do not see that nearly enough. However, they are children. They are going to be boisterous. That does not mean she and/or her children should not attend populace. Any person who gives dirty looks probably does not have children.

Now, there are many possible solutions so that everyone can enjoy the meetings.

While we did use the back room the last time I attended, I am not sure that we could do that on a regular basis or if that would even be a good idea because someone would always be missing out.

I really like the suggestion about placing blankets at the back of the room and bringing toys and such. This would give them their own place to play and still allow for everyone to remain in the same room. I am sure I could even be coaxed to hold a class or something from time to time. However, I have been told that my duties are limited to event functions and do not want to overstep/overextend to far beyond the recommendations that I was given.

I would also like to say that I enjoy the fresh atmosphere brought my Michelle and her children. It gives fresh perspective to things that I might otherwise take for granted. I look forward to seeing her and her children at the next Populace as well as everyone else!!

In service to the Barony and the DREAM,
Lady Mary of Axefoot
Barony of Raven's Fort MoC

Well I just received a few really nasty looks that made me feel very unwelcome. What really uspets me is I was trying to keep my children quiet.
