A happy Shrove Tuesday to all,

  

Whether your medieval ancestors burned effigies of the Carnival King in the fields or slaughtered the White Bull on the steps of the church, today is the day to give celebratory thanks for the "fat" times in hopes that their memories will sustain us through the lean times of sacrifice.
