Well, What can be said?
I did not post the message to the list.
I had a few list of names for it to be sent to.
More ended up than I listed.
Some how, some where, the letter did get posted to the
Raven's Fort list and a few other lists that I am on.

Instead of posting back to me privately the letter was
posted publicly and back and forth to others who felt
offended by the manor that the letter was sent and the
message that the letter possessed.

After looking at my original letter and viewing how it
was sent, I see that a whole section of my contact
list was added to the CC line of the letter. For this
I can only apologize for the aftermath that has ensued
and the results being a flame fest of religion,
patriotism, personal attacks and finger pointing.

I can see that our fine Barony is full of people who
are diverse individual thinkers and are quick to voice
their opinion when some thing is done that offends
them or effects their sense of right and wrong and
feel compelled to comment on the issue.

Mistakes happen. The letter was posted to the RF list
by some one, but not me. I looked and it was not on my
list of mail recipients. I did generate and send the
e-mail that started the sequence of events but it did
start out as a small list of names.

Like I said .............wow.

I would ask that any more letters on this subject be
sent privately to me. As I do feel responsible and
will not post to this list this kind of information.

"Do to other as thou wouldst they should do to thee,
and do to none other but as thou wouldst be done to."

These words can be found in the following:
(including the New Testament, Talmud, Koran, and the
Analects of Confucius). Among the earliest appearances
in English is Earl Rivers' translation of a saying of
Socrates (Dictes and Sayenges of the Philosophirs,
1477)
