and before anyone has to ask,
the preliminary results are:

"acute gastritis" and "non-bleeding erosive gastropathy"

the latter is seven spots on the duodenum side of the
stomach which could be called a cluster of "ulcer-ettes"
as the GI guy put it this afternoon (and boy, are they
ticked off...)

So, if the pathology comes back positive for Helicobacter
pylori (ulcer causing bacteria), I get antibiotics on top of
the ulcer medicine and it should be cleared up in a couple
of months. And if the pathology comes back negative for
Helicobacter pylori, then I just keep taking the ulcer meds
they just gave me and it should be cleared up in a couple of
months. Of course, that's barring something icky turning up
on the biopsy or a possible clogged bile duct (that's not
eliminated yet and won't be until after the ulcer-ettes are
gone; it's a possibility since I recently had my gall
bladder out)

That was probably too much information, wasn't it?
