Greetings to all,

Huntsville is currently under an 8pm -  6am curfew through Tuesday
(9/16/08)...  They are playing it by ear day to day due to many in
Huntsville & surrounding area still without power.  I am at work now
- first chance I've had at 'puter time, ice & AC since this all began... ;o)

Hope everyone down south is doing better than before!!!  As far as
Defender goes, up to Crown, Kingdom/Regional/Local Seneschal/the
RF B's & the Event Steward...

Ivan,
Thanks for offering to "save the cobblers"!!!!!

I spoke to HE Brian yesterday when he stopped by to pick up their dog
"Gingo" I had been baby sitting for them.  Didn't think to ask anything
about the event due to "life" being a more on the front line than an SCA
event... he is contactable, keep calling his cellphone.  He will not have it
on while at work.

What incite might HE Fionna & HE Brian have?  What we may do as a
populace to ease the burdens of others & provide for an event (now or
later)?  Word to the wise:  Sooner get the word out the better...

We have been attempting to contact the baron, with no luck so far. We need to attempt to contact TRM before deciding anything. They may ask for a postponement and suspend kingdomlaw in regard to calendar dates. They can do that. That would allow power to be restored to more areas and such. The local areas all have curfews. How will that affect our event with people likely coming in after legal hours?

I don't feel that "we" should cancle Defender at this time. We
shouild attempt to contact THM and get their input. The Huntsman Tournment is being held at Defender. Based on damage reports heard so far a lot of trees are down. How ever except for the very costal raagions there have not been a lot of reports of damage to homes. That could change by noon. Our Baron and Baroness also need to let their voices be heard on this.plachoya
