okay, I wouldn't turn down a plate while I site gate duty Friday evening...
or if dinner is on at 8:30, just keep a plate warm for me

what's for dinner anyway?
thought I better ask since I'm still having to avoid some foods
because of the much-improved but still kinda grumpy gut

also, if the Laurel A&S competition runs past 6, can someone collect
my entry for me (since it includes the syrups that go over the snow)
Also, is there a place for me to leave off the cooler with the snow
and the dry ice (which insures that it stays snow...   ;-). It really should
be in a place that isn't baking outside (the alternative is to hide the big
cooler under the table where my entry will be for the laurels' A&S thingy)

I have no delusions whatsoever that I will even come close to winning
the laurels' A&S competition.  I just thought it'd be fun to gack everyone
out by entering the period rose syrup + snow and watch their faces as
they stare at the photos of digging up the snow on a mountain 1700 miles
away...  Medieval oneupmanship is all about conspicuous consumption
and ridiculous excess, and if collecting snow a half a continent away
doesn't qualify, I don't know what does.
