There once was a "Roman Bath" type thing. But I believe it is under a tree at this time.

  James,

  There are always better ways.
That is what makes the SCA so "groovy".
  It's not leaders barking orders.
That only alienates and creates havoc.
It's everyone doing what they like to do which creates the whole.
It is the "it's all good" effect.
Ya gotta hope that when a better way is realized, it is embraced.

  Better ways and embracing aside,
There is a long list of private camp dos / don'ts floating around somewhere.
I haven't seen one in a few years.
The final say lies with the "land agent".
I believe that Baron Brian is the "acting land agent" at this time.
Ya might check with him on the dos / don'ts and the wheres and the therefores.
  Good luck.

Saint David creating a new map sounds fantastic.
  Let me say that again.
Saint David creating a new map sounds fantastic.
A thousand blessing on him for offering.
There are maps, but none are done by a professional, such as DSD.
I have copies of two or three different drawings.
If need be I can put my hands on at least one or two easily.
The "lay of the land" has not changed much at The Stones in a very long time
... except of course the disappearance of the Tavern and the Rose Garden.
There are lots of vacant camping spaces.
White-out will make way for the names of new tenants.
  Happy hunting.

  Peace,
  Vlod NotVlad

Hmm, that's one of the things we were discussing while the heat was frying our brains.
Pace & Devin were talking about putting signs like you use to see at crossroads with arrows and names pointed in the direction of a village, castle, etc. Perhaps at Populace we could create a map of sorts.

To all of the Crazy Ravens working outside in the 100+ degree heat:

Incidentally, is there a map or some such that might indicate various camps? As someone who has not been playing very long, and asking around/trying to find a place, it is difficult to remember each one; waiting to see where everyone else is camped has been a suggestion, but there must be a better way.

        Thanks!

        James
