[Ravensfort] work weekend

I can only speak for myself.
Yes.
No snakes.
No bugs.
Cold.
Especially SCA events.
It gives me a chance to breakout my winter gear.
I like the look.
Everyone all bundled up in hoods and wraps.
All huddled around a camp fire.
And darkness really helps the effect.
You can't easily see the cars and other stuff off in the distance.
Throw in a little imagination and you find yourself someplace in a Medieval 
mind-slip.
Nice place to be.
You can almost forget the stuff that is waiting for you back in the mundane 
world.
Of course the I never really forget that I have a nice warm mundane van to 
crawl back into at bedtime.
Still glad that I was born into the 20th century A/C.
It makes winter camping the best.
