“Battlefield Archeology: San Jacinto Discoveries 2009”
Mangum, archeologist with Moore Archeological Consulting, will deliver a presentation highlighting the very latest archeological discoveries at the San Jacinto Battlefield and adjacent property. Hundreds of newly excavated artifacts have helped archeologists to identify the location where a mass surrender of Mexican troops occurred in the hours after the battle. A number of artifacts recovered will be on display before the presentation.
