I was going to let this go without comment,


Any thing I would have to say about the southern site would be mute,
do to the fact that me and my fiancée have a full slate of events to
go to this year. So we are going to be going out and telling folks
around the kingdom how great Raven's Fort is and to come to our
events. So we are not going to be around for work weekends. Those
people that do not travel out of the barony very much need to sit down
and figure out what they want to do.

As for the new people “stepping up to the plate” Most of them are
college students, that need to put their mundane life in before of the
SCA. I am not a fan of the guilt trip tactics being used to try and
get people to take offices. I for one found them to very offensive. Do
not get me wrong I have the deepest respect for people that hold an
office time in and time out simply changing the hat they ware every so
often. They do not get half the thanks that they should. One should
keep in mind that not every person is cut out to be an officer.
