[Ravensfort] Populace meeting

The fact that Raven's Fort is teetering on the brink does not surprise me.
I have had this conversation with friends outside of our Barony.
More reasons could be listed, but I will limit myself to what I feel is the
major issue.
ANY officer that stays in their position overly long can not help but suffer
from burn out.
When time finally come to actually step down, there is little will to go on
to another office.
As of late, it seems that term limits have been extended more than is
healthy.
This can easily cause the death of anyone's guiding muse.
The general populace looks for inspiration from our officers.
When it does not come, it is replaced by frustration and apathy.

As for the Timbrend Forest site, there is no need for clarification.
The land owner understands all too well.
Let me include the message he wrote me today.
>>>"To say this decision makes me unhappy is an understatement.
If you desire, it might be a good idea to have a talk with the powers that
be
and suggest they reconsider that attitude because they stand to lose a lot
here.
I am giving you the opportunity to talk to them first before I do
because the more I think about this the more inclined to
just terminate our relationship all together." <<<
I can't say that I blame him.
Perhaps "termination" is what some of "the powers that be" would like to
see.
I can't imagine why.
Too far to drive for some ?
We have been using The Stones site with no contract, which is against SCA
policy.
At any time we could easily end up with no site at all.
I pray that the Gambers will allow us time to install new officers
that will hopefully have better work ethics.

To say that our Barony is in need of fresh leadership is a gross
understatement.
I strongly believe that if something is not done, Raven's Fort will fall.
It's past time for change.

In service to the Barony and the Kingdom,
Volod NotVlad

> Greetings everyone, I was gone all day yesterday and couldn't post the

> Neighboring groups will get our lands and it looks bleak. I stressed the

> please feel free to call me and I can elaborate.
