Wires long enough from the solar panel to the fan and the panel could be put where it was needed or moved as necessary.

  The only problem I can forsee with that is the amount of sun actually hitting the kitchen at any given time out there.  Its very shady under the trees and not much sun actually gets through to the kitchen proper.  Need to have a good look at the amount of sun actually hitting the kitchen next time we're out there, location location location lol.
