[Ravensfort] Yule plans

Good evening, all --

At the risk of sounding stupid (especially since this is my first Raven's Fort Yule) I'd like more information on the dessert contest.  I just might get a wild hair...  Mundane or period dessert?  Billy just said "pecan pie..."  I'm thinking not.

It sounds like he might be interested in joining us, which would be good since Blaize will be in-tow.  He will be "nekkid" by SCA standards though.  

How are we doing for firewood???  Have Husqvarna, will travel...  :-P

  Greetings to everyone, The weather this weekend will be  wonderful with cool crisp temps. and a full moon. The burn ban has been lifted so we will have a fire in and outside the barn. Activities will begin around noon on Sat. We will have our pot luck around 4 so we can begin the Mongolian Gift Exchange at 5-5:30. We will have only 2 swaps for each gift in order to speed things along. If you have a child please bring a child gift to exchange as well. 
     This year the dessert contest will be judged a bit differently. There will be a bead vote by all who care to sample and give a bead to their favorite. If there is a tie then the B&B will give the final vote.
     If you want to join the stocking fun please bring a stocking to hang and a small gift to put in others. We usually have 30-40 people attend.
     Garb will be appreciated.
      Ideas for things to bring:
     tablecloth, candles, chair, drinks (we will have a large ice container if you want to put your drinks on ice), pot luck dish to share, gift for exchange, stocking, small items to put in stockings, a dessert for the contest and whatever toys you wish to play with.

    Our grill will be available for all.
     Crash and camp space is available. Breakfast will be served Sunday morning for those who wish to stay.

        We will provide all paper goods and plastic wear, ice, tea, water, coffee, hot chocolate and warm fires.
    We look forward to the 4th Raven's Fort Yule at Ridgetop Farm. Hope to see all there. A waiver will be passed around for all who attend.
