I didn't see where it came through to the list, but it came to me as well so
I wanted to make sure it went through.

Thank you Griska for echoing my thoughts! Greetings to all my Friends in
Ravensfort! I am Mst. Annes, long time friend to the Barony, former Kingdom
Historian and now Coastal Regional Historian.

First, let me congratulate your newly name future Baron & Baroness, Giovanna
& Pace, for being chosen to lead such a Crown Jewel as Ravensfort. My
congratulations also to your outgoing B&B, TE Brian & Fionna on a job well
done.

I also want to welcome your into the embrace of the coastal region. I was
happy that this move could be made.

In the past, when I was Kingdom Historian, I spoke several times with
various people concerning the keeping of the Baronial History for
Ravensfort. HE Brian said that he acted as the historian, keeping some items
of baronial interest. But he was very busy and knew that the history needed
more attention than he could give it.

The present discussion on this list does point out the need for someone to
step forward and take the history of your group under their wing. This being
said, I stand ready as your coastal regional historian to aide your barony
and/or the person who steps forward to be your baronial historian.

There is much that I can teach them about being an "SCA archeologist" to
help uncover history that is nearly lost to you and how to keep for
posterity that history that is being made right now in your very midst.
Everything from knowing what should be kept and what should be let go to
building history pages on the internet so all the populace can enjoy and
learn about the past of your group.

In the meantime, it is your chronicler's office that has the reponsiblity to
keep your history in the form of your newsletters. That is why the
historian's office and the chronicler's are linked together.

You can reach me through my office email:
coastal-historian at chronicler.ansteorra.org Please let me know if I can be
of any assitance.

Could the list administrator also add my office email address to your list?
I would greatly appreciate this.

Thanks!

Mst. Annes
