Now the Ansteorran ladies will make ye lovely wives,

But check their skirts and bodices, they always carry knives

They say their iron mongery, their beauty will not mar.

They’ll thrill you or they’ll kill you at the rising of the Star.

I saw that show about the medieval fight book and saw the crayfish, some very interesting fighting items were shown. They said the book had not been seen in 200 years or so. We marveled at the fighting techniques when men and women fought to the death. He stood in a waist high hole with a wooden sword and she fought him with a bunch of rocks wrapped up in her scarf. Very interesting. But pretty graphic about the gory parts of fighting back then , what the various weapons did to a person. It seems a lot of bickering was solved with fighting. Kinda glad we stick with the romance part in the SCA. They said medieval women were a tough bunch, had to be, the soft spoken woman idea came about in the Renaissance years. Great show. YIS, P/G

You have not gotten yours yet? I have had mine for some time and they work rather well on keeping door to door salesmen away. :-)
