The Legacy of Lions 35th Anniversary

Barony of Bjornsborg

October 14th-16th, 2011

Seguin Outdoor Learning Center

1865 East Highway 90 Seguin, TX 78155

To celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Bjornsborg, Their Ursine Excellencies
Philippe and Suzanne welcome the Knowne World to once again see the forces
of the Tournament of Lions vie against the forces of the Tournee' de
Lyonesse.

Please be aware that, just as the Lions and the Lyonesse, this is a judged
competition. Judges you know and those you don't will watch your fighting,
your chivalry and courtesy, and your comportment. Do great deeds and you
will be rewarded!

Their Excellencies require but two small items from those who would compete:
a letter of intent and sponsorship by an Artisan.

The letters that most please Their Excellencies will be met with word fame
and gifts. Emailed letters will be accepted, but the more creative and
beautiful the letters are the better. Please note that letters of intent
will not be accepted after October 12.

We also ask that each combatant be sponsored by an Artisan, who will give a
token of their art to us. It may be as humble as homemade bread or as
exalted as calligraphy or carving, but you may not sponsor yourself. Please
note that without a letter of intent and sponsorship by an artisan, a
fighter may participate in this grand celebration, but will not be chosen as
Pride or Defender.

Other activities include: an Arts and Sciences competition, from which the
Baron and Baroness and the Daughter of Lions and the Daughter of Lyonesse
will choose favorites and give out largesse and word fame. The theme for
this competition is Lions.

To celebrate the autumnal harvest, there will be a pumpkin carving
competition with fabulous prizes, a museum celebrating the history of
Bjornsborg, and of course, our infamous feast planned and prepared by
Mistress Seraphina Moslovska and evening tavern the Il Rubinetto Dorato will
be open (donations are recommended and encouraged). The Ansteorran Longship
Company will offer their Viking Breakfast, Sunday morning (a minimum of $5
dollar donation is acceptable).

Please come and share arts, fighting, history, food, drink and song with us!
