[Ravensfort] demo thanks

Greetings to all, 
   We had a very successful demo this past weekend at the Sam Houston Folk Festival. Our Barony owes many thanks to Mistress Shanahan who devoted countless hours of driving from Bryan/College Station, planning meetings and hours of organizing for this demo for us. Vivat to Mistress Shanahan, our awesome hospitaler!
   We had approximately 25 people attend and help with the demo. Many thanks to HE Brian for bringing, setting up and taking down the pavillions. We watched many 'almost new' and seasoned  fighters improve and teach each other during the two days of working on the list field in both chivalric and rapier fighting. Mistress Jalali and our bard Atticus entertained the audience with tales and songs. Many thanks to Lady Jan who traveled from Gate's Edge to help us again, this second year in a row. It was a treasured moment when she gifted Their Excellencies with woven red and black belts she had made herself!  Many thanks to Dare who spent all 3 nights there watching our Baronial treasures that we had set up and had to leave each night.
  The best part of this demo however, was the camaraderie and bonding we did together while educating and sharing with the public. This bonding is the cement that holds us together even tighter as a Baronial family. If you missed this demo, this is the part that you can't replace.  We feel closer to each person who came and helped. It was fun seeing our new fighters learn, improve and get to know us all as the great Baronial family known as Raven's Fort!
