Winter Weather Update Video&Maps<br/><br/>TOR:CON tornado risk forecast<br/><br/>- Rain and thunder continue across the southern Plains on Friday<br/><br/>- More rain and thunder are expected along the Gulf Coast on Friday as well<br/><br/>- The next big storm brews over Texas on Friday night, with locally heavy rainfall and thunderstorms expected across much of the state<br/><br/>- Locally heavy rainfall will spread with this system across most of the South on Saturday<br/><br/>- Some severe storms are possible for the central Gulf Coast on Saturday, bringing the potential for damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes<br/><br/>- Rainfall over the weekend may reach 4 inches in spots from Louisiana to the Carolinas<br/><br/>- As this system moves up the East Coast on Sunday, expect some snow to fall along the northern edge with light accumulations possible north and west of Washington, D.C. to west of Philadelphia<br/><br/>- Heavier snow accumulations are expected over the higher terrain of the central Appalachians<br/><br/>Stayed tuned to The Weather Channel and log onto weather.com for the latest on this developing system.<br/><br/>
