[Ravensfort] Settlement commitment

Greetings Ansteorra,


     In consultation with the Kingdom Seneschal, Mistress Gwynneth, Their
Majesties, Aaron and Amelot and Their Highnesses, Hrafn and Elizabeta and
with review of the kingdom financial status, it has been decided that the
kingdom will pay the settlement amount to Corpora. The amount that
Ansteorra is paying is $62,041.21. This amount was based on the entire
kingdom’s cash assets from the 2010 Domesday report that was sent to
Society-- all local groups, the kingdom, the Blackstar, ACCEPS, and
Ansteorran Longship Company. Based on that report, the kingdom’s assets
were $347,278. From this amount,  18% was calculated to be the above
amount. Local groups wishing to know what their portion would have been may
contact me. The check has been sent.

   Due to the dedicated funds that exist within the kingdom account,
almost all of the general fund and the entire anniversary fund have been
used to cover the settlement invoice, leaving the kingdom account with
barely enough to cover this year's budget. Local groups and individuals
wishing to donate to the kingdom to replenish the account are welcome to do
so. These donations will be gratefully accepted and appreciated. If anyone
has any questions regarding the settlement funds or kingdom finances,
please feel free to contact me.

Personal donations via your credit card may be made via ACCEPS for the
kingdom account (www.acceps.ansteorra.org).

Also I would ask people to be cautious of solicitations via e-mail or
through facebook. At this time, the best way to donate is through your
local groups, directly to me, or via ACCEPS.
