If your are planning to get authorized this Sunday at the Shadowlands War/Authorization Practice (SWAP), you should be familiar with the SCA's & Ansteorra's rules of participation.


Your first source of information is "The Kingdom of Ansteorra - Complete Participant’s Handbook":

These handbooks contain sections for armored combat, rapier combat, combat archery, equestrian, etc.


For those authorizing in missile combat, be aware that combat archery rules are sprinkled throughout these manuals.  Simply reading the Missile Combat section of the manual will not get you all of the information that you need.  As part of the authorization, I will be presenting the information that you need to know for missile combat in an informal question/answer session.



And just in case you missed earlier announcements, let me remind you that the shire will be having the Shadowlands War/Authorization Practice (SWAP) on Sunday (here is the info again):
