I have not plucked a fowl since I was a child and I swore when I grew up I'd never do it again. You have to yank all the feathers out and then singe the pin feathers. NOT a fun task.

Greetings all,
I am guessing,
now that war is over,
it is safe to talk about the
whatever kind of party / workday
that we are having next weekend.
Again, I am offering 3 young peahens for feasting.
When Domi and I hatched this plan,
I thought that I would be able to find a wild game processing business
to clean and dress the hens for cooking.
Not so.
I even called a friend that supplies me with duck, dove and quail,
but he cleans all his own.
Wow, makes me appreciate his gifts even more.
Anyway, I have never even plucked a chicken.
I am not going to start my plucking / dressing education by myself with peacocks.
So, I am looking for someone that has experience with bird processing.
I am willing to pay for a volunteer to pluck and dress 3 peahens.
I wouldn't mind learning how to do it myself, if that can be worked out.
If there is anyone interested,
or if anyone knows anyone that might be interested,
please contact me through my email address
or call me a 281-367-3409.
You will have my eternal thanks if you help me out of this plucking dilemma.
Could someone please forward this request on to facebook.
Thanks,
Volod NotVlad

I agree with Lucien, it was changed to the last weekend of March, 31st.

You know how unreliable the grapevine is.
If it is the 31st it would be more of a
Welcome Home Gulf War Heroes.
Was it talked about at Populace ?
Dom ?
. help us out here ?

It's my understanding that the 'pity party' is scheduled for March 31st not the 24th.

Greetings unto my black winged family and our friends,
I have heard it through the grapevine,
that there has been a day of appeasement
(Saturday, March 24 th)
set aside at The Stones
for those of us
that will not have the good fortune
of traveling to Gulf Wars this year.
I have already marked the date
as a day that I will shirk
the mountain of mundanity
that I have been buried under
to relax with those that I dearly miss.
This gathering of
a kindness of ravens
has the promise of
lively social intercourse,
torching the bon-fire,
perhaps a little work,
good drink
and good food.
With the latter in mind,
I would like to start the food list
by offering three young peacock hens
that Baroness Domai
has offered to work her culinary magic on.
I look forward to sharing good times
with long loved friends.
Peace,
Volod NotVlad
