[Ravensfort] Fw: Ansteorra Crown List & Demo

Crown Tournament is a truly amazing experience and it is an honor for us to be its host.  I do agree with you, Mistress Jalali, that the Crown Tournament is truly the most important event of the season, and it deserves all of the respect that is it's due.  I believe that when HL Devin mentioned "demo", it was not in the true sense of the word, but rather that the location is quite visible and may garner quite a bit of mundane attention. I would not want to detract from the importance nor grandeur of Crown Tournament by attempting to stage a true demo, as that it would be a diversion from the intent and heart of the event.  We  have other times and opportunities to stage demonstrations, and I am looking forward to participating in such events in the future.

YIS,
Lady Seneca of Raven's Fort
Seneschal of Raven's Fort

I have a question.  Since when did it become appropriate to make a demo out of  Ansteorra's Crown Tournament? This is the Kingdom's most important tournament of the season.  We have plenty of other times & opportunities to stage demos.  Has our Crown given the "thumbs up" for this?  (Ok, 2 questions...)

Curious minds would like to know.

Greetings...

Yes we did change sites from the American Legion Hall
 to the HEARTS Museum.
In order to use the ALH I would have to join the legion, no big deal, but also attend a meeting on December 3rd to present the event to the board. While that was no big deal because I was already told it was a formality, we had to have a site before the end of the month.
Places to have events with indoor facilities are getting harder to find. Lady Runa suggested the Grangerland Community Center...and in the future that is an awesome idea...but they were booked on January 11th.
Please keep looking for places. Write them down and we can compile a list for future use. The price we are paying for the Museum is a steal. Many many tables, a large hall, full kitchen and it is very public. Great way to have an event and a demo at the same time.
Please help as much as you can.

Thanks.

Devin
