I have had many inquiries about how we can help those along our coast who
have been displaced from their homes, vehicles, or who may have even lost
their homes due to Hurricane Harvey.  As many are evacuated and the Coast
Guard is still in the process of evacuating many others, there are many who
do not know the extent of their losses (and will not know for some time).
Harvey is projected to continue to drop rain on the already flooded areas
for at least another week, so there may be those who as of right now have
not sustained damage, but will within the next week.  I have a list of
individuals who have space available for those who have evacuated and need
a place to stay.  Now, what I need from all of you:

1.  If you need to evacuate and don't have a place to go, please reach
out.  We have several people who have opened their homes and we will figure
out a way to get you there if you do not have transportation if it is under
water.  Brandy.Merrell at gmail.com, pm me, or contact your local Seneschal

2.  If you or someone you know has been displaced and needs food, clothing,
or other essentials, or has home, vehicle, property damage that we can try
to help with, please let me know (brandy.merrell at gmail.com). - We have a
community that wants to help.  We need to know how.

3.  If SCA gear or regalia has been damaged (this is an area many insurance
companies can't or won't help with and our SCA family will gladly help with
if they know what we need), please let me know.

I want to start to put together a list and roll this ball down a hill, and
I know getting everyone to safety is our number one concern.  Once you have
done that, please contact me and let me know the best way we can help you
get back on your feet in the weeks to come.
