Hello everyone.
At the populace meeting last night, we discussed the next work weekend. We decided that the 11th would be a good day and if it rains the 18th is the back up day. Saturday morning at 8:00 am I will be on site. We plan to remove all the items in the kitchen. Then sweep, dust, clean and paint the inside. All the items in the kitchen will be cleaned, placed back in the kitchen and made ready for the event. Greg should be happy with the clean and neatly organized kitchen to use for the event.

I also plan to pick up all the serving utensils from site and the storage room and have them cleaned as well. A detailed list of the kitchen utensils, dishes and other items used for our feasts will be the end result of this effort.

The kitchen has been in need of a good “gut cleaning” for quite some time. This and the overall site improvement tasks that we have been knocking out are making our site look really nice.

I would like to thank Lady Seneca for helping organize the work weekends. She has taken a personal interest in the appearance of our events and has been one of the motivators of the Site Improvement Guild.

The list of people who have been a great help does not stop there. Stephan and Klar (and family) have been at every work weekend helping. Their Excellencies Elrique and Sarah with their awesome paint machine! This last weekend Angel and Justin were in “all hands on deck” mode. Angel is painting signs so we can help show visitors where some of our activities are located. John was helping demo the doors and windows with Justin. Daire arrived just in time to give a hand with the finishing up of the outside painting and putting up everything. He plans to be at the next work weekend again also.

Lastly, please do not forget your protective masks for the cleaning of the kitchen. A lot of dust and dirt will be in the air. We do not want it in our lungs.
A 3-M particulate mask will work. Eye protection may not be a bad idea either.

It is hot outside and we like to work from 8:00 am to noonish before it gets to hot. Please come out and help, bring water or some kind of hydrating beverage. A chair and work gloves.

Your efforts have a great impact on our barony. We all enjoy your company and input to help make our events fun to be at.

If I missed any one, I apologize.

YIS

Brian
