font-family:Arial'>Women in the Middle Ages tend to go overlooked. Sure there
are a few who ‘stand out’. Heloise and Joan of Arc are two who
come to mind as the most ‘prominent’. So, it’s interesting
to see obscure figures, especially women, given credit, and remembered. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'>Hroswitha, was a nun who lived in the tenth century. A nun
who wrote comedy, ‘nun’ the less! (hehe, you knew that was coming!)
Albrecht Dürer commemorated her in a print drawn 500 years after her death, so
obviously she was popular and remained so throughout period times. Like most
women of the medieval times, however, she is all but lost to the modern experience.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

nun would find funny, but the image of a cloister of sisters rolling
hysterically on the ground seems intriguing enough. I’m sure it would appear
perfectly normal if not for this notion of chickens…. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
