Dear Everyone! We will not be having our business meeting
today because we had it yesterday at our new site. We will be needing a
name for our site soon. So please kick some names around and let's get
one picked out. It would be nice to have it for our bid for
Crown.
Around 15 people attended business yesterday at the
Gundy site. We discussed the coming workdays at the Stones. The
weekends of March 6 and March 27 were set aside. Please mark your
calendar as such. It will be camping weekends. Watch the list for VNV to
tell us what will need to be accomplished then.
We will be
looking at the Kingdom calendar because we do not have a date set for
our spring event 2010. This needs to be done soon.
We need an
Autocrat for Defender in Sept. If you have never done this it would be a
great event to get your feet wet. VNV will co-autocrat it because much
of the work has been done already. The bid for this position has to be
by June 1. Please let me know if you are interested and I will help you
with what to do.
We discussed the new Renfair opening in
Austin in 2010 and HE Brian will contact Bryn Gwlad about it since
it is in their area.
HE Jalali will be taking our Gulf War
basket to war for us. Please donate something for it and give it to HE
Brian. We plan on having a large group from our Barony attend next year
so please plan on that.
Tuesday night heavy fighter practice
is still going strong and all are welcome. It is near the gazebo in
Hunstville at 7pm. There is loaner armor available for those wanting to
learn.
We had 4! entries in the A&S competition this
weekend. Vivat to Marie, Charles, Lucien and James. We are very proud of
their representing us at this event. They all had some outstanding work
presented and got some good scores and comments for next time. Vivat to
our artisans!!
Don't forget to renew your subscriptions to the
Quoth.
HE Brian is working on gettting some business cards for
us to hand out to interested people. Mike, our new site owner, had some
ideas on it and they will work together to get it going.
We
want to thank Mike, Michael and Patrick for giving us time and help on
the new site which was alot of fun. We had a great campfire with
drumming etc. on Sat. night and got alot of work done as well. Mmmm the
venison was sooo good!
We will have a 'new site work
committee' set up which will consist of the current Seneschal, Mike ,
Gundy, VNV, and the B&B who will represent one vote. We will begin
to get some firm plans on what needs to be done with a timeline so we
can have our spring event there next year and possibly others as well.
HE Brian will purchase the shower materials and VNV will
purchase the equestrian materials for our Stones site as the funding was
approved on Sunday afternoon.
YIS,
