<DIV>When I dropped off the auger at the "new site" yesterday, the conversation
turned to how green everything is getting everywhere on site. </DIV>
<DIV>It is a striking change. </DIV>
<DIV>Where as The Stones site has mostly pines which are evergreens that change
little, the "new site" is mostly hardwoods that lose their leaves completely in
the winter months. </DIV>
<DIV>The wild grass sleeps which adds to the predominant somber brown look of
the "new site" during the cold season. </DIV>
<DIV>This is a welcome change in the perpetual pine color of the Big
Thicket.</DIV>
<DIV>Then the warming sun swings north again bringing with it renewal and
rebirth. </DIV>
<DIV>Without a doubt, the absolute best time of the year to be in east Texas is
the spring time. </DIV>
<DIV>The sprouting green is almost iridescent.</DIV>
<DIV>The "new site" demonstrates that with dramatic contrast.</DIV>
<DIV>Perhaps when we finally settle on a name for the "new site" it should have
something to do with "seasons" or "color" or "contrast" or "the circle of
life".</DIV>
<DIV>This is just brainstorming for consideration when pondering what rolls off
the thong comfortably in regards to "new site".</DIV>

<DIV>Ya know, for the first few years what we now call "The Stones" was called
"the new site". It took years for a personality and the name to
develop. Perhaps we should just let the site select a name of it's
own. I am sure something appropriate will evolve. I like all the
creative brain storming, but there really is no need to force anything to be
set in stone right away. Everyone will know what we mean if we say "the
new site". Not trying to be a stick in the mud, I'm just not in an
unnessacerry hurry. </DIV>

<DIV>Actually, the idea about Raven's Acre came to me yesterday because I
was listening to Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" (It was the last day of
Carnival, after all)........and I had just gotten to the section titled "Uf
dem Ager"....meaning "On the Field"........and since "Acre" is a cognate for
"Ager"; well, there you go. One could also go with "Raven's Field", I
guess.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>But since Green Acres was near Hooterville, and Raven's Acre (?) would
be near Hooterville (okay, okay.....different spelling and pronunciation),
your connection makes a bit of sense, Devin.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>All of a sudden, I AM SCARED!<BR><BR></DIV>
