Heilsa all... Panicking...? *laughter* Don't be silly...why in the world would anyone panic...? No worries... I'll drink the water from the tower and barrels...if they were cleaned as I remember  they always were before filling there should be no problems... I was just mentioning that by stating the water was from a less than sanitary source (any source) there could be liability involved. I also filled those barrels and the tank on the tower for many years...from my well at first and then  other sources...never been a problem to my knowledge either... Yeah, I'm a fairly self sufficient camper myself... Ja...boycotts need to be avoided, they are counter-productive and cost the Barony much in terms of  membership and goodwill... 'Tis a real shame that anyone would ever do that... As for banishments,  when people take things too far (and some people always do) there can be unfortunate results... Still,  the positive side of banishments is that people's true colors are shown to the populace...I've always found  that to be enlightening... In any case, I've always stated that you were one of the hardest working people in the Barony and that  can't be denied nor refuted, you have worked long and hard both publicly and behind the scenes... As far  as the best interests of the membership of Ravens Fort, I have always had that in mind... After all, it is my  home...and has been since I joined the SCA back in 1984... I feel that with the Investiture of Their-soon-to-be-Excellencies Pasquale and Giovanna they will but add to  the legacy, the Saga, of our unbroken line of successful Barons and Baronesses since those heady days of the  First Investiture... That fact makes me smile...  To that end...I swear that I will do all in my power to make their Reign as B&B as peaceful and trouble free  as I possibly can... After all...given my Oath of Fealty to the Crown of Ansteorra...I needs must keep my  obligation to the folk in Ravens Fort and in Ansteorra intact and without blemish... I am truly looking forward to a wonderful and totally successful event... It will be a testament to the strength  and ability of the denizens of the Barony Ravens Fort... Wæs ̃u Hæl in Trõ and Frĩ...!

  providing water for the event site...'tis a needful thing...!<br><br>However, 

  "not for drinking"...? Are you saying that the water is from an unsanitary 

  source...??!<br>If this is the case it needs to be dumped and water from a 

  sanitary source obtained...<br>You don't want to be held liable for providing 

  unsafe water that children might drink...<br>I'm just sayin'... 

  <br><br>Ja...the site almost always looks good this time of year...that whole 

  "beauty of Springtide" thing you know...<br>Looking forward to the event... 

  I'll certainly use as much of the dead fall for firewood as I can...I know 

  that <br>between myself and Brian we have worn out two chainsaw chains cutting 

  on it...<br><br>I must agree with the idea of clearing out the disasters of 

  the past...<br>Making a fresh start with a Barony ready to face the future of 

  the "new" SCA...<br>I applaud the coming Investiture of Pasquale and 

  Giovanna...! I can think of only two other people that<br>might have been as 

  good a choice...but, all things being equal...I'm damned pleased with the 

  choice the Crown made.<br><br>I am also happy to announce that I will be 

  taking a more active part in the Barony that HE Alix and I founded.<br>While I 

  am still traveling quite a bit for my business...and am taking part in many 

  Kingdom and other Group's<br>activities...I find that a renewed sense of 

  optimism has revitalized my joy of playing in the SCA...<br><br>To that 

  end...Haus Kiersted is growing...now with members in 3 Kingdoms, including new 

  Squires, Proteges, <br>and Men-at-Arms...! As well, my membership in Clan 

  Archaic Thunder of the Federated Clans of Rolling Thunder <br>has given me a 

  broader base of good folk to achieve many goals as well as finish some long 

  term projects...<br><br>I do wish you the best on your new home...and agree 

  that it is a pain to have to re-do everything<br>because of errors...  I, 

  too, am looking forward to plenty of good reveling in Honor<br>of the new 

  Baron and Baroness of Ravens Fort...I will raise a horn high and ask<br>those 

  that I hold Holy to guide them and give them the wisdom and patience 

  it<br>takes to rule the Crown's Lands with Justice and Equality...and a firm 

  hand.<br><br>The Pelican's Circle will be early Saturday in the presence of 

  the Crown and the Crown Heirs... I feel that this event<br>will be a showcase 

  for the skills and talents of all those that have worked so hard to make the 

  Barony grow stronger<br>and larger...<br><br>Once again, I wish to thank 

  everyone that has worked so hard to make this Investiture a success...with 

  especial note of Mirabelis as <br>Event Steward and with pride in my 

  Protege...Marie de Meaux, Feast Steward...for doing a tough job over long

  <div>I was finally able to get onto the site yesterday </div>

  <div>to fill water containers for our event.</div>

  <div>There are four hundred plus gallons above the showers</div>

  <div>( many thanks to Zorc, DSD and Michelle for their </div>

  <div>help in relocating the tower to the shower area ) </div>

  <div>and two hundred gallons plus behind the kitchen.</div>

  <div>This should be more than enough for the weekend.</div>

  <div>Remember, this water is NOT for drinking.</div>

  <div>If humans are going to consume water </div>

  <div>it should come from a more sanitary source.</div>

  <div>There are no barrels in my trailer this time. </div>

  <div>Perhaps someone might volunteer to put a barrel </div>

  <div>or two in their pickup as fire protection.</div>

  <div>The Stones site looks pretty good.</div>

  <div>The grass is still somewhat short and very green.</div>

  <div>There are little flowers popping up everywhere.</div>

  <div>Dead fall litters the ground under the trees,</div>

  <div>The only thing that really looks bad </div>

  <div>is the rotting Dreaming Tree.</div>

  <div>Even though there is no scheduled event </div>

  <div>for the site in the next few months,</div>

  <div>I would suggest that we make an effort</div>

  <div>to remove this eye-sore in the VERY near future. </div>

  <div>We could do it all in one day.</div>

  <div>This weekend marks a transition in our Barony.</div>

  <div>Cleaning up the disasters of our past will give us </div>

  <div>a chance to clear our minds of the decay </div>

  <div>that we have lived with for so long.</div>

  <div>A fresh start and a fresh ordered look.</div>
